You don't need to be a developer to use Selene Directory, but if you are you'll have a special appreciate for it.

Design Separation
Template layout (XHTML) and design elements (CSS) are separated from the core components of Selene Directory functionality, allowing easy modification of typography/colors/layout/etc that can be easily transitioned during upgrades to new releases.

Professional Support
Unlike some developers, who refuse support if you modify their script/application, Refresh provides the same quality, professional support to all active licensees, regardless of how they are using Selene*. While this doesn't mean we'll write your modifications for you, we are happy to answer questions like "how should I start developing ____", or "where in the code can I find where Selene does ____", or "I'm editing Selene to do ____, is there code in Selene that I can reuse to help".

*Provided it is within the terms of the Selene Directory SLA, of course.

Make Selene Your Online Directory

So you like Selene but you're not excited about your client knowing you've added a "packaged" application to their website. An extended license is available which allows you to make Selene "yours".

In Plain English
The Developer License grants you additional privileges unavailable in the Standard License. Including the privilege to:

• alter the branding (remove logos, rename the application, etc) within the administration console interface.
• remove the copyright notice within the administration console interface.

These privileges are expressly prohibited in the Standard License. The Developer License, and the Standard License, both allow you to modify or remove the copyright notice in the "footer" of the public directory interface.

Under both licenses the "headers" and copyright notices within the Selene Directory source code must remain intact and unaltered.

Developer License Fees

The Developer License fee is $649 USD $575 USD (discount details here) and, as with the Standard License, they are registered with and administered through the Refresh Members Site.

All Selene Directory Licenses, both Standard & Developer, are per installation. A single Developer License permits a single, rebranded installation.

How to Get It
There are two ways to purchase a Developer License.

1) Send a Developer License request. You will be invoiced $649 USD $575 USD via PayPal. When payment is received your license credit will be added to your members account and your personalized documentation will be emailed to you.

2) Purchase Selene through the Refresh members site, then send a Developer License request. You will be invoiced the Developer License upgrade fee of $500 via PayPal and your personalized documentation will be emailed to you.
