General

Q) What's with the "early adopter", 0.9.x, pre-release stuff? Why isn't it version 1?
A) There are still a few things we want to add to Selene before it is labeled version "1.0".

Q) I read something about a discount. What's the deal?
A) Refresh is a small company and our products thrive based on users having direct developer access to provide feedback and suggestions. To encourage this (and say thank you) we're offering a discount to early adopters.

Q) How does the Upgrades & Support subscription work if I'm an "early adopter"?
A) Exactly the same as if you were a late adopter. You will still get access to all of Refresh's outstanding support resources: you can send priority support tickets, interface directly with Refresh staff to get answers for your questions and have 24-7 access to the Refresh Community Forum and Selene Directory documentation.

The only difference is that your subscription term is automatically renewed (at no cost) the day version 1.0 is released. You'll get full support and upgrades from your license purchase date until one (1) year from the release of version 1.0, for FREE. So you don't have to worry about being hit with a renewal fee to download version 1.0 or get support along the way.

Q) What type of server do I need to run Selene?

Q) Will you setup Selene on my site for me?
A) Setup services are not currently available. Please reference the step by step setup instructions in the documentation. If you have any questions, or problems, while setting up Selene you can submit a priority support ticket from your Refresh member account to receive assistance.

Purchasing

Q) Do I need a PalPay account to purchase my Selene license?
A) No. While you have the option to login and use your PayPal account the only thing you need to purchase your Selene Directory license is one of the accepted credit cards. (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express).

Q) Do you accept any form of payment other than Credit Card/PayPal?
A) Yes. Bank Certified Cheques or Money Orders drawn from a US Bank, or US Bank Account, are accepted via postal mail. Delivery of your license & Selene Directory downloads will be delayed until payment clears which in some cases can be up to two (2) weeks. Contact to discuss in detail.

Q) What is your refund policy?
A) Because Selene Directory is delivered immediately upon payment and is done so in plain text, source code form refunds are not available. Refresh Web Development strives to ensure every Selene Directory user is a satisfied customer, and will work with you make sure you get the most out of Selene Directory, but we are not able to offer refunds.

License

Q) I like Selene but I need it to ________. Can I modify it to meet my needs?
A) Yes. Under the Standard License you granted limited privilege to customize Selene to meet your needs. Two general limitations to this are that you cannot:

1. alter or remove the branding elements of the administration console, all logos and copyright notices must remain intact and unaltered; nor
2. alter or remove the source code file headers or their copyright notices.

Expanded privileges are available, for an additional fee, to "rebrand" and alter the administration console interface logos and copyright notices. No license is available that permits alteration or removal of source code headers or their copyright notices.

Q) Can I purchase Selene and resell it to my clients?
A) No. Resale of the Selene Directory software is not currently permitted.
