Q) What type of server do I need to use Selene Directory?

A) Setup services are not available.
However, we do provide detailed setup instructions in the Selene Directory documentation and if you have any questions you can submit a priority support ticket to get answers for any questions you have.

Q) Is Selene Directory a hosted service?
A) No. You will download a copy of Selene Directory for use on your server, with your existing hosting provider.
Q) Do you offer referrals to "approved" hosts?
A) No. But we also don't dictate who your host is. The requirements to host Selene Directory are modest by industry standards and there are dozens of
hosts (at a variety of price points) who meet them. If after reviewing the server requirements you have any questions about your current hosting let us know and we will do our best to be of assistance.

Q) Do you offer a trial/demo download?
A) No. Selene Directory is delivered in source code form and is not encrypted with a third party "protection device". Because of this, trial/demo downloads are not available.
However, we do offer a fully functioning demo where you can preview the current release of Selene Directory in it's entirety.

Q) Do I need a PalPay account to purchase my license?
A) No. While you have the option to login and use your PayPal account it is not required to place your order.

Q) Do you accept any form of payment other than PayPal/credit card?
A) Yes. Bank Certified Check or Money Order, drawn on a U.S. bank, are accepted via postal mail. Delivery of Selene will be delayed until payment clears,
which in some cases can be up to ten (10) business days. Contact us for details.
Q) What is your refund policy?
A) All sales are final. Because Selene Directory is delivered electronically, immediately upon receipt of payment and in source code form we are unable to issue refunds.
We strive to ensure every Selene Directory user is a satisfied customer, however, due to the unrecoverable nature of our product refunds are not available under any circumstances.

Q) Do you offer discounts?
A) Yes.

- A 10% discount for orders of 5 licenses.
Q) Can I host multiple directories with one (1) license?
A) No. Selene Directory installations are licensed individually, each installation (copy) of the software requires it's own license.

Q) I like Selene, but I need it to ________. Can I modify it to meet my needs?
A) In most cases, Yes.
The Selene Directory Software License Agreement grants, with limited exception, permission to personalize your Selene Directory install. Two general limitations to this are that you cannot:

- Alter or remove the branding elements of the administration console, all logos and copyright notices must remain intact and unaltered; nor
- Alter or remove the source code file headers or their copyright notices.
"White Label" privileges are available, for an additional fee, that allow you to rebrand the administration console.
Q) Can I resell Selene Directory to a client or a third party?
A) No. Resale of Selene Directory is not permitted.
Q) Can I remove "Selene Directory" & "Refresh Web Development" from the footer of my public directory theme?
A) Yes. Refresh does not require that you "give us credit" in the public facing portion of the application. The admin console, however, cannot
be modified without the "White Label" license discussed here.

Q) Can Selene Directory be localized for use outside the U.S.?
A) Yes. With support for language packs and a variety of customizable settings, Selene Directory can be localized for use
anywhere in the world. Please visit the Selene Directory documentation on Translation

Q) Can I have an additional development install with just one (1) license?
A) Yes. Selene Directory supports, and each license permits, one localhost installation for development. Localhost installation instructions are
provided in the documentation.
In the event that a temporary public (any IP, domain or hostname other than localhost) installation is required for staged development/testing of new license purchases we are happy to provide one to accommodate the initial development cycle through project completion, however, in the event that multiple, permanent, development installations are needed additional licenses will be required (often these can be provided at a discount, contact us to discuss your needs in detail and for more information).
